Need help DENON AVR 1908 SET UP

hi

i got some problem set up the denon avr 1908 with samsung HD TV, and denon DVD
i connect the TV HDMI in to the receiver HDMI out and connect the 2 RCA from audio out on the TV to the TV/SAT input on receiver (i have cable TV not decoder)
connected DVD HDMI out to HDMI in on receiver

i get sound from receiver when i watch DVD
i don't get sound from TV truth my receiver
i don't get sound when i play audio CD on the DVD

i think i set up all the input in the right way

TV/cab input
assign in this way
hdmi in: hdmi 2
digital in - coax2
copme in - 2-RCA
i-pod - none
input mood - auto

DVD/hdp input
hdmi in - hdmi 1
digt in - coax 1
cope in - 1rca
mood - auto

any idea?
